Celebrating Queen & Freddie Mercury

Sold out concerts worldwide.
The best-selling album ever in England.
And by the way, the most successful biopic of all time.
Although more than 30 years have passed since the death of their singer, things are going pretty well for Queen – to put it mildly. Queen is simply timeless.

The enormous influence that the gay subculture of the 70s and 80s had on the band’s profile is actually hard to overlook: starting with the choice of the band’s name, the outrageous costumes and stage shows – and of course frontman Freddie Mercury, one of the most important queer light figures of the last 50 years. And even many years after his death in November 1991, Queen, with Adam Lambert at the helm – an openly gay singer – now fills entire stadiums all over the world. Guaranteed to blow you mind – anytime!

We think because of this all: It’s high time for a huge Queen bash!
On September the 23rd, SchwuZ becomes a throne hall and celebrates with SCARAMOUCHE! a whole night long everything that makes Queen and Freddie Mercury so incredibly great – with everything that goes with it.

Clubbing has always been part of the Queen cosmos. In the Cathedral’s “Hot Space” you can fully lose yourself in all-time pop and queer classics. And in the spirit of her namesake, Bambi Mercury will be putting on an utterly majestic show to mark the occasion…

For full immersion, you’re right next door “In The Lap Of The Gods” – for on the 2nd floor nothing but Queen plays throughout the night: hits, deep cuts, solo tracks, live versions, remixes…just everything that the incredibly diverse musical treasure chamber of Mercury/May/Taylor/Deacon has to offer.

Queen-Ultra Herr von Keil will not only be behind the turntables, but will also exclusively read a few chapters from the official Freddie autobiography, which he translated for the German market, already at 7pm in the Pepsi Boston Bar.

There are more great surprises planned for the evening…always expect the unexpected! Just as we are used to from Queen.
So: will you do the Fandango?
