Author reading with Roman Shamov at the microphone,
Jonathan Boudevin on the piano
In his first book “Krawall in mir”, Roman Shamov writes, among other things, about the contrast between a Jewish and, at the same time, a Muslim genetic background, a quiet childhood that forced him to be loud, about fists in MDR hand puppets and cucumber salad in Berghain, about his love of men and electronic music, about breathing therapy and stage fears and about the desire for self-confession in front of and behind the microphone.
He also talks about transgenerational traumas and how he finds ways to deal with them.
A deep, colorful and, above all, funny mixture, where the audience gets their money’s worth and can always take home something to think about and reflect on. The whole thing is garnished with songs from three decades of the author’s personal musical history.
